Currently i have a peice'o shite sony STR receiver, i remember when i got it i hooked it up via an optical link and it wouldn't let me enable the sub pre-out, i assume this is because it sucks at bass management and just didn't have that option.
I am getting the Onkyo TX-SR307 which i have read up on and i'm loving it before i've even got it, am i likely to have this problem again?
What i suppose im trying to ask is, when using a digital 2 channel link, is there any reason why a decent amp cant produce that sub channel from it?
