Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Yeah, the screen rez is a negative. It's not that bad on a 14" screen, but it was one of the factors that pushed me to a 15.6" laptop recently even though I prefer the 14" size.
Was looking at the y470p as well. Great price with a good upper-mid GPU, but my cell phone has a higher res screen Also, you can't get them anywhere and reports are they're backordered at Lenovo for months (by which time something better will likely come out)
The Dell Vostro 3550 is on the upper end of your size limit but comes with a choice of i3-i7 and HD6630M (think it's switchable). Only 1366x768 though.
The Vaio SA has a similar loadout (i5-i7 with switchable HD6630M) but worth reading some reviews of first to see if you can cope with the downsides. Has a 1600x900 screen but contrast/viewing angles are bad.
