So.. I RMA'd my X1900GT to get a Sapphire X1950 Pro 256Mb PCI-E. "Yay" I thought. I installed the card (after 9 weeks of waiting for a replacement, ) and it seemed a bit better than the X1900GT. "Great" I thought. Recently, I've noticed that my games (Day of Defeat Source, Counter-Strike Source, America's Army) stutter quite randomly, although it happens more often when a grenade goes off in your face, :)confused:) I have updated my Sound card drivers.. reinstalled my video card drivers (7.4, CCC) and it's still there.. any ideas?

1280x1024, 2AA, 8AF, NO HDR. This is a better card so it shouldn't matter, because I used these settings with the GT :)

Did you do a clean install of the drivers? As in uninstalled all the old ones and used Driver Cleaner Pro in safe mode to ensure proper purging of old drivers? That may be a possible solution to try.

for CSS I am running @ 1152x864, 2x AA, 16x HQAF, HDR on and I get 110+ fps sustained and it can drop down to 60 fps in the high action situations, but it runs fine on my sapphire ultimate x1950pro.

I do get random studdering in that game, where my inputs are rendered useless for .5 to 5 seconds in source and hl2, but im pretty sure its not related to it and something else, too bad I cant figure out what it is.

My sapphire 1900GT runs great. I have it running at 635/1620. I'm running the Omega drivers.

I tried my friend's X1900 with the same drivers I was using and it didn't stutter.. I guess I should RMA my X1950?
