I recently just upgraded to an amd64 3000+, Soltek SL-K890Pro [I love it too all around feature rich/stable board], 1.0GB GEIL Value RAM, Sapphire Radeon x800PRO PCI-E and a 19" monitor that does 1600x1200@85hz, 1280x960@100hz, 1024x768@120hz etc.

I run my desktop at 1280x960@85hz. Is there any reason I should run at 100hz or keep at 85hz? What about games? I'm a FPS freak...not a quality freak... What the hell is ATi AI? How can I disable AA/AF? This is my first ATi card since an ATi Radeon 64MB DDR VIVO AGP lol...and im lost. Half Life 2 stutters like hell...I enabled triple buffering and it cleared up a lot...

I'm just wondering what setting are optimal in my situation mostly.
