Hey guys, maybe you guys could help me. See my pc stutters like hell in bf2 on all high (1024x 768 2xAA no AF)

Athlon 64 3500+
2x 512mb Crucial value ddr400 ram
6800 Ultra
Audigy 2

I have run TuneXP, Spyware Doctor, defragged, clean install of XP, registry cleaners, driver updates, TuneUp Utilities 2004, Ace Utilities, 1-Click-Maintenance...

and my pc still can't handle all high, it's got to be the ram right?

Could this problem be fixed with new nVidia drivers, a patch from EA, or is the problem inherent to the ram?

If it is a problem with the ram, do I have to buy the exact same ram (which is expensive, but has low timings $99.99 ouch :( )? Would 512mb be sufficient?

Just buy another stick of the same ram. Having two different kinds or brands doesn't fare well. 1.5GB should eliminate stuttering.

EDIT: NVM, I read your specs again, and you should be getting very decent frame rates. I think you need the newest drivers, 77.50, try it, it should give you some benefits.

Try 77.60 xtreme g on guru3d.com also.. turn lighting, shadows to medium and you will be perfect.
