Stupid RAID Controller question.

I just finished my AMD 64 build and I'm curious. I'm using the Silicon Image controller built into my A8N SLI Deluxe. For the time being I'm just running JBOD till I can get a third 250GB Drive and do RAID 5....One Drive of mine is blank and is already registered with the RAID controller...however, another drive has a TON of Data on it. If I enable it as JBOD in the controller...will it affect my data in any way?

I'm pretty sure it blasts it.
Hell, it might not. It's going to do so when you create your RAID5 anyway, so might as well back it up before doing anything at all.

I think I may just end up moving the drives to the nVidia SATA Controller since it functions in JBOD on its own. At least until I can backup all the important stuff off the first 250GB Drive.
