Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hey guys im sure this is a dumb question but I just purchased an Asus M3a79-t motherboard and it has 4 slots. It says it has support for crossfire. Will multiple nvidia graphics cards work ok in it for folding? I know it cant do sli so its no good for gaming.
Yes, SLI support is not necessary to run multiple nvidia folding cards in a system. Each GPU runs independently so no synchronizing is necessary from one card to the next. I believe this would apply the other way as well, ie you could run multiple ATI cards folding in an nvidia SLI chipset that does not support CrossFire X.
In order to use all 4 slots you will have to use cards with single slot coolers in the last 2 slots. Or you can fit 3 dual slot cards on that motherboard.
