Aug 1, 2007 #2 E eth00 [H]ard|Gawd Joined Aug 16, 2004 Messages 1,090 Sure you can have SATA and IDE in the same system at the same time. The only thing you have to make sure of is you have a SATA port on that machine. If you don't you would need a controller card or adaptor.
