What's the difference, typically, between server and desktop cpus? Any hardware requirements or do you just find a mobo with the right socket and pop it in? :confused:
 
different sockets (for dual/plus socket machines)
more cache usually
sometimes lower voltages.

so these days, not a whole lot.
