Stupid icon question

What software or methods are you guys using to change your system icons? I see many theme sites with custom icons for My Computer and such, but I know how to do that in ever Win versions except XP....and XP is what I'm wondering about. Do you guys use Icon Packager or something like that?

i use a program called Iphile....it's just like icon packager....and it's free...works perfectly for me...

To change the icons for My Computer, Documents, Recycling bin and such, I usually just right click the desktop, properties, Desktop tab, customize Desktop, and change the icons for each one.

I've never tried the Icon Packager or other progs.

you can change those ones fine...but dont go trying to change the folder icons without knowing what you're doing...it can mess up and when you click on a folder it will just say it's searching....and not actually open a folder....
