well I had my teachers D100 at school today, and damn is this camera a nice one at ISO1600..... but anyways, obviously I am no pro, but I'd like some critisism on my work please! one thing, none of them had post processing except some resizing

another thing I have to say though, DAMN do skylights mess with a camera...

now onto the pics!

know this one is bad, but I couldn't get it at the right exposure, so I had to up the brightness in PS.

I find that being indoors and taking portraits requires you to use manual mode to expose properly because the meter is easily thrown off when you point the camera at people wearing dark clothes, etc. I also find that indoors f/2.8 never seems fast enough :p

As for ISO 1600...outdoors it is fine because the light is balanced. Indoors it becomes noisier, but compared to Digital P&S cameras at ISO 200/400 (and how painful it is to get them focusing decently indoors without flash) the ISO 1600 of the D100 is pretty good. But as always it seems to get better as we move to newer and newer cameras :)

They look very soft to me, like you might have missed the focus a bit, or were shooting a very slow shutter speeds and have a little hand blur in there. Try a little bit of Unsharp Mask.
