Stuck Pixel

Just got a new 23.6 inch asus laptop off newegg, it was a great deal and a fantastic monitor but one of the pixels is stuck and it's incredibly distracting. The pixel shows up BRIGHT pink on a black or blue background, and shows up on most other colors too. I've tried pixel fixing software, even the refundware that you pay for (obviously got the refund when it didn't work lol).

I've also tried the massaging method and the poking method, none of them seem to work. Every other pixel goes white, that pixel just ... stays pink. It almost looks like the stuck pixel is OVER the rest of the screen, but I know that can't be right.

Anyway, am I just stuck with a bright pink stuck pixel on my monitor, or is there another way to fix this? Asus doesn't RMA monitors with one stuck pixel :\

send it back? thats about all you can do, and hope that they will take it with only one stuck pixel

I have the same sitaution with a blazing red pixel on my Dell U2410 that I just got. Tried all the methods.... the bastard won't die. What an insult.

Yeah it's really unpleasant because of the color. If it wasn't such a stark contrast I wouldn't care as much, but it's hot pink on a dark background and your eye just kind of jumps there automatically.

I think you're out of luck unless more appear. I lived with a dead one on my Inspiron for 7 years. Their policy was 5 or more needed at the time I think. Oh well.
