Stuck motherboard screw

I have a problem. One of my mobo screws seem to be stuck. When I try loosening it, I hear a squekking noise + a few pops from the case + the screw won't come out. Anyone know how I can take the screw out?
 
The riser is spinning. Take off the other side, hold the riser threads with a pliers and unscrew the screw from the mobo.
 
sometimes my standoffs stick to the screw and when I try to remove the screw, the standoff unscrews from the mobo plate. Try that and remove it with pliers once outside.
