Im in the market for a LCD monitor. I was looking around and found the ViewSonic VP171B-2 17" LCD Monitor and the ImageQuest L90D+ 19" LCD Monitor. While searching on the forums, the L90D+ is well liked, but nothing on the Viewsonic. Also people have been telling me that the bigger the monitor the blurrier itll look if not ran on native resolution. I play some games but i wouldn't consider myself a gamer. I rarely run games on a high resolution (800x600 at 32-bit color) is fine with me. Please help me decide.

well, pretty much any LCD you get will look bad out of it's native resolution. For you, I'd go with the Viewsonic. The bigger monitor is really only gonna be worth it for the immersion level in games. You're gonna have the same resolution with both monitors so you'll get the same amount of real estate. I own the L90D+ and it's a pretty good monitor, but if you're not gonna be playing games all that much, i would save your money and get the viewsonic, which will probably be better quality too.

well, 17 and 19 inch LCDs have the same native resolution, 1280 x 1024. If you set either to 800 x 600 it will look crappy. I always found the 17" 1280x1024 was giving me too small a font suffing the net etc, and went with the 19".
I have the D90+ now, and love it. First LCD where I actually had to reduce the brightness.
