Strong Demand Fuels Rebound In Chip Sales

A new report from the Semiconductor Industry Association says that semiconductor sales are up compared to last month. Overall sales were also up slightly when compared to the same time last year as well.

"Worldwide sales of semiconductors rebounded slightly in May, after a sequential decline in April," said George Scalise, president of the SIA (San Jose, Calif.) in a statement. "Sales of microprocessors and NAND flash memory saw the largest sales increases, indicating continued strength in end markets for personal computers and cell phones.
