So I'm in a bit of a dilemma here, I Have a 4770k @ 4.5 1.23 with a Noctua N14. You can read about the original problem here: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1829504 but the gist is, I reach up to 100c in AIDA and p95 (strange not in IBT). However, in normal everyday computing, even while heavy gaming, the CPU will of course never be pushed this hard, and my temps stay well under 80 full load in "normal usage". It's been running like this for a year.

My question is, although in synthetic stress situations, the cpu reaches 100c, it never will when I'm using it normally. Would there be any problems with just keeping it as is?

Many people do not fully stress test their CPUs and never have problems. Many people stress test their CPUs and have nothing but problems.

Its your CPU, so whatever you feel comfortable with should be fine.

If you don't experience BSODs, crashing, or lockups and do not care about data corruption, then you'll be fine.
