Well, I just bought a GA-8i945P-Pro and a Pentium D 820 and DDR2 5700. I have no Idea how to set them up in the bios. I haven't had an Intel for 15 years and the DDR2 is new to me. All help, advice, etc. welcomed. Also what is this DPM (? media licenseing?)) stuff about?

Wouldnt you just plug them in and when you boot up, the BIOS will automattically configure it. DPM is something that processor checks for in movies and such, and if it doesnt contain this line of code it wont play that file. It something like that. Im sure someone else has a more technical answer about it. Sounds like it will be a great system once its up and running.

Well, its up and running. I had to reinstall WinXP and load the new drivers and update the BIOS.

Pentium D 820 Smithfield 2.8 @ 3.0 & 1.3 V (so far, I'm taking it slowly)
Corsair XMS 1GB (2x512) DDR2 (PC2 5400) @ 360
Gigabyte GA - 8i945p-PRO
Sapphire Radeon X550 256 MB DDR PCI-E x16

$592.49 from Newegg, plus $6.50 S&H

Antec 500w SmartPower 2.0
2 X 160GB Samsung HD
NEC DVD-RW
Samaung DVR-ROM
Floppy from God knows where...
Custom Acrylic case

Used Nero to re-encode a DVD, with 8X burn it took 13.5 minutes @ 2.8GHz
I'm happy.

Does anyone know what the iLock setting in the BIOS does?
