So I've been working on some A3 cores for a few days now and know more or less what TPFs I should be getting, stock around 5min, @ 4.0GHz around 3min, but yesterday I lowered my OC(too damn hot) to 3.5Ghz and stock voltages and my TPFs jumped to 10min.

What did I mess up?
 
Is your CPU still loaded close to 100%? Are you doing anything else with your PC?
 
What unit are you running? I have a feeling you may be working on one of the larger P6040 or P6041 units. I'm getting about 15 minutes per frame on my Q9550 with one of those, which is about three times my normal TPF. That is pretty well in line with what you're seeing.

bingo, I just checked, P6041.
 
The first 2 TPFs you said are pretty normal for 'normal' SMP2 WUs, and the 10min TPF is pretty normal for 6041, so there's nothing really to worry about.

Heh, I had the same scare as you when I did my first 6041 A3 WU. Turns out that is a bigass unit that is gonna kill your bandwidth when it is finally ready to upload to Stanford's servers. I think my 6041 ended up being a 67mb upload.

Big Adv WUs are another 30 to 40 MB on top of that :D

I'm running 3 SMP2 and 2 Big Adv at home and it isn't pleasant when those hit.

Yeah, my very first successful bigadv I believe was a 97 or 98 mb upload. It was the 2681 A2 WU. I thought that it would never finish uploading, as the summary report showed that it was only uploading at 55kbps. My internet is capable of 384kbps uploads........
 
arrggghhh this thing is taking FOEVA! whatever, 75% done and I finally start getting my bonus points
