Strange thing with Netgear WGT624 Router..please help.

I have it configured properly, or at least I think I do. Its set up to forward ports that I need to the appropriate computer, but it seems that when I run a P2P program like sharaza or kazaa, file transfers work within those programs, but accessing the web through IE wont. Its really wierd, because when I close out of the programs it takes a few mins then IE starts working again. Is there anything you guys could suggest me doing to monitor or diagnose why this is happening? Just seems like I cant go outbound or inbound thru port 80 when using those programs. Thanks for the help.
 
I'd suggest updating the firmware, if that doesn't work, call tech support or exchange it for another one if you can.
