So, I have an odd problem. I built a computer using an Asus Pk53 Deluxe mobo, Intel Core2Duo, 2G Corsair RAM, WinXP Pro SP3, no overclocking, and the computer was running 100% perfect for 8 months (or so). Then I built a computer at work and the power supply that I was working with there was having problems, so I pulled the PSU out of my computer at home to test with on the work computer. I got the work computer running, and brought my power supply back home. I hooked it up exactly the same way, and changed nothing else, but now the computer takes several minutes to get past the screen right after post (press DEL to enter Bios...That screen), and the Motherboard Temp Sensor is reading anywhere from 40-48 just on idle. The Motherboard is not actually running that hot. I can see maybe a sensor or something on that, but the long boot? Once the computer is running, it seems to run stable, but the heat sensor thing bugs me, especially since it never ran even close to that temp before, and with summer here, it gets pretty warm in the house, and that does make the whole system temp higher.
