Okay I turned of my pc today to clean the filters. It was working fine before this. Now it will not power on, and the green light on the board is not lit. I tried to plug in a tester, and that did not lite up either. Could I have tripped something in the power supply and not it is off, or did it suffer from sudden power supply death. It is a PC power and cooling 510 deluxe.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

try the switch on the psu below the power cord? :p hmm that is strange. did you touch anything else when you were taking out the filters or can they be taken out with the case closed up? also what are your specs. 510 isnt real big and it could have just finally given up trying to spin up your HDDs one last time. even ps power and cooling have a finite lifespan. also if you somehow lost a big dust bunny into the psu or something else critical it could have shorted or messed up something.

The specs are listed in the signature, its the Q6600 system. I am gonna try and call pc power and cooling tech support and see what they say. When I dusted the system I actually flipped the switch to the off position, so it would remain grounded when I cleaned it. Like I said its strange, with everything else unplugged the tester would not even trigger it.

Oh the filter is in the front, and I removed it and took it outside to clean. I also dusted inside the case as well.

Well I over nighted a PC Power and Cooling 750 Quad and it arrived this morning. I installed it in the dead pc, and it booted up fine. So the power supply is dead, now I am waiting for a reply from ozc for an rma on the old unit as it is still under warranty.

try to unplug and plug the wires again maby an cable had out

Yeah that was part of my trouble shooting process, I made sure to check all the connections and make sure that they were secure.

On a positive note, my system is up and running. Now I just gotta jump through the OZC hoops to get my dead power supply RMA'ed.

It will go into my HTPC, and replace the Antec 480 that is in there now.
