Strange problem with synergy

I am using synergy (linux server, XP client, gigabit network), and occasionally I will experience a large (2-5 sec) lag when switching computers. There is no lag once I am on a given screen though. A quick search says it might be something to do with clipboard data, but I have been unable to catch any logs while it is doing this (running synergy in the foreground now on the linux box to try to gather info about this). Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Vista server and Ubuntu client, and yeah, I have the same problem occasionally.. usually when running iTunes, which seems odd, and then from time to time right after bringing Vista out of hibernate...

I haven't been able to find a fix for this either........

Restarting the server seems to fix it (If i do it on one line the client does not drop the connection), but it is rather irritating. I will post the console output when I get it, but unfortunately these is no real pattern to this problem.
