Strange problem with Firefox...and this site?!

This is a recurring problem I have with Firefox that shows up mostly with Hardforum, but I see it on other sites that have a lot of multiple text entries. When I go to a topic thread, the browser immediately darts to the bottom of the page. I then have to scroll back up to the top to read the first part of the page. Anyone ever seen that? I'm all confusticated.

I only notice this behavior from the main forum page of HardForum. If you click a direct thread link from the front page it takes you to last post of the thread.

If you go to a subforum's page and click a link (not the little arrow) it doesn't happen, at least not for me.
