This has got to be the most random problem I've ever experienced with a computer.

The numpad 3 on my keyboard has stopped working. No matter, right? I'll just replace the keyboard. Figured it was all good until last night when I noticed that the numpad 3 doesn't work on this other keyboard either. Changed usb ports, same deal.

Anyone had a problem like this before? As far as i know, that's the only key that isn't working. The 3/# key still works fine.

Do you have some kind of macro key software installed?

The closest thing would be the setpoint software for my mouse. But as far as i know, I haven't added or removed any software or hardware since this issues started occurring.

I'll go look to make sure that setpoint hasn't added some kind of macro for that key.

If you turn off numlock, does the key work then for it's alternate function? (Page down I believe)

Why yes, yes it does.

I just remoted in from work and the 3 does not work over rdp either, though page down works just fine when numlock is off.

I'd imagine you got software running that's got the 3 mapped to something different.

Whoops, never replied back to this thread.

Yes, i was an idiot. DisplayFusion had something mapped to that key and it was taking over.

Thanks for the tip as it got me looking in the right direction.
