This never happened to me before. Everythings been fine at 200fsb, today I overclock to 210, rasie the cpu voltage twice up (1.725), restart the computer, and here's the problem, nothing appears on the screen. Computer is thinking, no sound, nothing on screen.

So I reseted the bios, did it again, 210, raise cpu voltage (1.725), but raise ram voltage (2.8), BUT same problem, nothing on screen, no sound, not even a beep. Reset the bios again.

What does that mean? Here are my specs:

AMD Athlon XP 2400+ mobile 1.8ghz overclocked to 2.2ghz 200fsb
Albatron KX18D Pro 1.06 bios
VOLTS: CPU 1.675, AGP 1.5 (default), RAM 2.7 (default), CHIPSET 1.6 (default)
PDP 2x512mb dual channel PC3200 2-3-2-5
Leadtek 6800nu (not overclocked yet)
Chipset nforce2 5.10 drivers
Video drivers 66.81
Windows XP SP2
Antec power supply 350

So far my temps have been great, prime95 has been great, memtest too at 200fsb, but at 210 it's strange that the screen or sound wouldn't turn on. I'm posting here before I raise the cpu or ram voltages even more because I'm not sure if more cpu/ram voltage is the solution. If it is, fine thats what i'll do, but before I do I want to know for sure. Not seeing anything on my screen and reseting the bios manualy is kinda scary, hehe.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I have that problem sometimes, just raise the voltage and it should be ok. you said the temps are cool so its not going to hurt

You may have already hit your limit.

Try 205 instead, or up the voltage again.

try 210 x 10.5 @ 1.675 since you know the cpu work at 2.2 ghz and 1.675.. then try upping the multi and voltage from there... there is a chance that your cpu won't go past 2.2 ghz..

actually scratch that..
memory.. you didn't mention memory... loosen your memory timings.. your memory can't handle 210 at your current timings and voltage.. so either up your memory voltage or drop the timings.. try 2-3-3-5 (what chipset does your board have?, if nf2, make the last number 11)

so make sure its not your memory

it could be that your power supply isnt up to handling the power requirement. up your chipset voltage.. i run mine at 1.80 with stock cooling(arctic silver of course)
