Strange long boot problem

Recently I've been experiencing some long boot times with my SSD installed.

Sometimes it's fast, under 10 seconds, sometimes it's 3+ minutes. At complete random. I've formatted multiple times and use all the latest motherboard drivers.

But there's more.

There is always a distinct 'click' sound just before it decides to want to boot into windows after the windows logo. Every time. I disconnected all mechanical hard drives and cdroms. I've put my fingers on the video card and ssd to feel for any clicks but it doesn't sound physical but can't find the source.

Specs are in signature. All firmwares are up to date, as well as BIOS's.

Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.
