I recently built myself a new rig, and decided on an Acer 22" Widescreen for my display. I installed XP and my vid card (eVGA 8800 GTS 640MB) drivers and I noticed that the text on my display is extremely blurry.
I played around with it for awhile, switched the DVI cable/port. Played with font and DPI settings when I noticed something very strange in the monitors menu. It seems that despite having the proper 1680x1050 resolution set in Windows, the monitor is actually displaying 1600x1200. Any ideas on how I can fix it? Am I looking at an RMA?
I forgot to add that after switching DVI cables, it worked very briefly and reset itself when I tried to play Republic Commando, specifically my whole system froze when I went to apply a resolution change in game, and upon reboot the problem returned.
