strange issue with coworker's computer

system is a home built P4 2.4, with xp sp2, the computer seems to crash when going into screen saver(system freeze... no BSOD)

anyone have any idea how i can repair the windows screen saver system?

f its an openGL or directX screensaver, I'd try to look into the video-card drivers. Perhaps a simple update might solve things.

very true, but i've tried both the standard winXP screen saver and "blank" as well. but i'll upddate all his drivers for the hell of it.
