strange crossfire problem or new ability?

So i installed the new 11.6 drivers and to my surprise it wanted to enable crossfire. I only have one 6870. I did however enable my IGP again to use while i web surf since My 6870 is busy bit coin mining.

Anyway I let it turn on crossfire and reboot. I haven't yet run any benchmarks to see if anything performance wise changed, will do that soon.

790gx+6870 let me turn on crossfire,hmm interesting. Benchmarks to come.
