Recently I upgraded to a new power supply, video card, and sound card. When I play World of Warcraft it seems that after about one hour the game will just freeze. Keyboard/mouse wont work and no sound while the player is stuck running in one direction. I posted in the games tech support forums however as always recieved no help. I was playing last night with no problems. What I noticed was I had the games sound disabled while running winamp in the background. Could my sound card be causing it to lock?

I check Windows event logs and don't see any errors related to sound or video. Everything is up to date on my system (fresh format since upgrade) and I only seem to have problems while playing WoW. Any suggestions? System specs are in my sig.
 
Try a new slot for your sound card. It seems like Offboard Soundcards cause alot of problems if their in the wrong slots.
