Strange behavior while using synergy (random screen locking)

I just step up synergy with a linux (FC6) machine as the server and a windows machine as the client (both running version 1.3.1). Everything works fine, save for one thing: the server frequently will arbitrarily lock the cursor to a single screen, and arbitrarily unlock as well. Hitting scroll lock on the server keyboard fixes this issue. But that is not really the point. In synergy's FAQ, they mention an old issue similar to this, by say it was fixed beyond 1.1.3 . What gives?

Run it in test mode, monitor the log and make sure that the client is not being disconnected and reconnected... I had that happen and experienced similar issues... don't know why it was happening, but I shut it down, disconnected the client and re-launched Synergy, manually reconnected the client and that seems to have solved the problem...

Good luck...

There were no disconnects in the server log, just the random messages. This is the first tim eI or anybody I know has tried hosting the server on linux, so it might be a difference in environments. I have changed the hotkey to F12, and thus far have not had a problem... Unfortunately, the only real way to test is to just use the configuration. I had forgotten how nice synergy is though :)
