Strange behavior when minimizing.

I have a stock X1900XT 512 and when I minimize out of a game there is a very loud, sharp crack from my speakers as soon as the screen gets to 2D mode. It is rather annoying.

Also, when minimizing World of Warcraft, upon reopening the window there are discolored bands around the edge of my monitor. This discoloration is most noticable at the bottom of the screen and are usualy only a few pixels wide.
 
If you have turned down the windows volume control(s), I recommend turning them back up and turning your amp down.
