Ok so I'm a newbie.

But when I setup AM (using MPH) the other night, and it started mining Digibyte (Skein)... Showing monthly revenue of $330, I was floored. (1080 ti, stock, some benefit from my 1950x but not much).

Fast forward a day, and it's instead mining other things like you'd expect, but the revenue has dropped to about 35% of that.

Where's the issue or my misunderstanding? Digibyte didn't plummet by nearly 2/3 in that time frame, and if I manually had it mine it again the revenue is nowhere near that.

Is Awesome Miner known for having erroneous estimates at times?

I'm not trying to get rich here - just want to make the best out of the powerful system I built. Might as well earn a little coin while it's sitting here.

Appreciate any insight you all have. :)
 
chances are the app used some spike in a market to give ya that number. if not. can i buy your card?
 
Disable Skein when using MPH, people keep gaming the price. MPH uses whattomine.com and people are manipulating the market to show inflated values on the site. Sometimes I would look over and my miner was cringing away on Skein for $2/day, other times it was $9/day. Miner would eventually drop off Skein, only to go through the same process again the next day.

Go into Settings -> Algorithms to turn it off.
 
Ok. Now I just have to figure out if I want to stop using AM altogether and just mine monero...

Although a good part of why I spent so much on it was that I intended to mine when not using my PC. If I can't figure out something decent to mine...

Just disable Skein and let MPH pick what’s best to mine for AM. Use the Auto Exchnage feature in MPH and get paid in any coin you want.
