What happens when the hard drive in my computer is very big.. how should I utilize it ?

Or very small.. How should I utilize it ?

1. Main hard drive has files, external hard drive is duplicate ?

2. Main hard drive is just windows, external hard drive is files with secondary external hard drive copy ?

3. Files Stored off the pc .. Use one external raid solution ?

4. Files Stored off the pc .. Use two external drives, one always in use, other for backup and storage ?

:D:cool::rolleyes:

I would like to know how everyone has decided to run their boxen !

Use the fastest drive for OS and apps, slower drives for storage, backup as you see fit.

Storing your files in an external drive only won't make them safer than they would be in your PC.
Just the fact you are turning that drive on and of more than you should and moving it around the house/neighborhood makes it risky IMO

My simple setup would be: fast OS drive - 1 large regular drive for data - 1 duplicate of that drive external/internal (no matter to me)
