Looking to maximize use and life of my drives. I have read not to put heavily deleted items on your ssd. I am thinking a 60 gig ssd for os. Which I have. Two 500gig drives for apps and storage. Was thinking another ssd for games?

What things should I remove from the os drive and move to the storage hds? What would be a good way to set this up?

Thanks

Apps, games and OS on the SSD and keep everything else on a spindle drive.

Ok thank you, should I move my downloads folder and virtual memory to spindle drive?

I install my OS and Apps onto my SSD, but then use folder "Location" tab to point all of my user folders, even desktop, to my HDD. All the work I do on my desktop never sees my SSD.

Also, over provision your SSD by 10% (shrink the volume size by 10% in Disk Management). The extra space is used to help reduce write amplification.

Finally, if you have a decent amount of ram (say 8GB or more), create a 1GB RAM DISK and go into Environmental Variable settings and change user TMP and TEMP files to the ram drive.
