1. Do you recommend a Western Digital Blue for $60, or a Western Digital Black for $80? The drive will be used for gaming and be paired with a 250-256GB SSD.

2. Should I buy a 256GB Crucial MX100 for $115, or a 250GB Samsung 840 EVO for $140?

3. Should I buy this Lite-On iHAS124-14 for $15 AP, this Asus DVD Burner for $20, or this LG Drive for $14 AP?

2. Either are good. The evo has the advantage because of the RAPID software which the Crucial drive does not.

3. I have not purchased a DVD burner in years even for work. At home it is because my LG burner has lasted 5+ years. At work we no longer burn dvds. We use usb sticks instead.

You mean to tell me that no one is on the cutting edge of advanced DVD technology?

I haven't had a dvd/cdrom in a computer for awhile, desktop or laptop. If I need one, I just grab a random usb one to use.

It's all about the usb3 flash sticks
