My PC has an HDD, ive been wanting to buy an SSD for work, most likely a Samsung T5.

Can I download games on the T5 in order for them to load faster? would be a win win situation.
Or do the games only load faster if windows is on a SSD aswell?
 
If you have a USB3 interface on your PC (I assume laptop since you want an external SSD instead of an internal one) yes putting software on the external will give you improved disk performance.
