Storage bank..

I am looking for options on a non-pc storage solution for photos. I came across this product at geeks.com, and it claims to be a USB 20GB 2.5" Storage Bank Kit with Card Reader, features a built-in 7-in-1 media card reader with support for CompactFlash, Microdrive, SecureDigital, SmartMedia, MultiMediaCard and Memory Stick media cards, with a Built-in battery.

A few questions here for those who have used this or something similar.
- Battery life - any realworld idea?
- File structure - how does this play out? Does the LCD screen just display file names, or can I make folders?
- Data dumping - when I cram in my card and hit the transfer button does the system generate a folder from a datetime stamp and drop the files in there or are they all on the root of the drive? Essentially I want to know how messy this might get viewing it attached to a computer.
- Do these allow me to push databack to the memory card or is it a one way street?
