I'm doing a home build and at the moment, all I can afford is a 1TB WD Caviar Black SATA @7200RPM.
Is it possible to partition this thing in a way to have maximum recoverability/saftey while leaving the option to add additional drives later on in order to have a boot drive, data drive and gaming drive?
Is there a way to do that with the 1TB drive that will allow me to convert to a multi-drive system down the road? I saw something on YouTube where a Solid State drive was incorporated in this type of config for the Boot drive if memory serves. Two SATA drives were used for Data and Gaming. Does that sound like what I'm after eventually?
I will use the machine for gaming/productivity 40/60 respectively.
thanks in advance!
