hey i just got my small home network working but i have searched quite a few places about stopping the network drives from disconnecting. some of the registry hacks didnt work and was wondering what i might do. thanks in advance for any info

When are they disconnecting? What version of windows are you running? Do you have the same username/password on both machines (that should help)?

also what is your network configuration (ie how are you computers connected?)

sorry i should have known, i have xp home and use a linksys wireless router but have both pc wired in. only one pc has a username password login and they disconnect after say half hour to an hour of no use

my xp pro server's drives stay mapped 24/7, if the server is off or rebooting the drivers are still there just you cant get to em (duh) and as soon as the server comes up they work again ...

do you get keep mapped or wahtever option in xp home ?

xp home has some strange bugs ...
