Stop Error: 0x00000050

Hi,

Three weeks ago I built myself the following system:

CPU: Intel P4 2.8 800 MHz
MoBo: Intel Bonanza D875PBZ
RAM: (2X) Samsung 256 MB DDR
PSU: Antec SmartPower 400 W
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 9200
Sound Card: Creative Player Live! 5.1

All drivers and firmwares are up to date.

Every once in a while (maybe once in 5 times) when I turn on my computer I get a BSOD with the stop message: 0x00000050. This happens during the Windows XP boot up. Then I have to restart and it loads just fine. I've read what the Microsoft Knowledge Base says about this issue, but it isn't really helping. I've also tried running Driver Verifier, no errors there. Likewise, I've checked my memory with Doc Memory 2.1, MemTest and WinDiag. MemTest and WinDiag report no errors, but Doc Memory freezes every time it starts checking memory for errors (!).

Any suggestions? Faulty RAM? Could it be something else?

By the way I've tried switching/removing the memory modules, and DocMemory freezes either way!

Any clues in eventviewer ?

BSOD:Except for STOP error, what wording they used with it ?, like example below.
If diff than below type in "0x00000050" at Google-Various results for same STOP.
If its like the clue below, I would try to delete the Pagefile from Safe startup, or 1st clean it out, from System-Advanced-Performance-Settings-Advanced...

Yes, I get the PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA message.

How exactly do I clean it out in Admin Tools? I'm still pretty new to this. Is moving to partition other than C: enough? I've read somewhere that this could even boost performance.

You may try this 1st:
Start-Control Panel-System[System Properties]-Advanced-Performance-Settings-Advanced-Virtual Memory-Change.

If this does not work, you may delete the Pagefile, but I managed to get it done via Safe Mode boot with a bit of a battle. I had a similar problem because of a clash beteen Norton 2004 products and my old Nvidia Grafics driver.

Description
Determines whether the virtual memory pagefile is cleared when the system is shut down.

Virtual memory support uses a system pagefile to swap pages of memory to disk when they are not used. On a running system, this pagefile is opened exclusively by the operating system, and it is well protected. However, systems that are configured to allow booting to other operating systems might have to make sure that the system pagefile is wiped clean when this system shuts down. This ensures that sensitive information from process memory that might go into the pagefile is not available to an unauthorized user who manages to directly access the pagefile.

When this policy is enabled, it causes the system pagefile to be cleared upon clean shutdown. If you enable this security option, the hibernation file (hiberfil.sys) is also zeroed out when hibernation is disabled on a portable computer system.
