I'd like to build a little floor switch using a stomp switch like you'd find on some guitar pedals.

What I'd like it to do is for it to switch between one of two outputs.

So there would be one input, and two outputs. When the switch it pressed it would move between the two different outputs. I assume that there isn't a simple stomp type switch to do this and I'd need some kind of additional parts to accomplish it.

Right now I'm using a 3 way toggle to do this but I'd like to get it onto the floor if possible.

Do you want it to switch inputs each time it is pressed? Or do you want it to use one input when it's pressed and the other when it's released?

switch outputs each time it's pressed.

I'm using it in this manner:

I have a VOIP softphone and I'll hear the call ring over my speakers. I may want to quickly switch to my headphones (I use a microphone on my desk) to hear the other person or conference call.

I'm using a three way toggle now to accomplish this.

sound comes out of my pc into the switch and then I have connectors wired to each side of the switch. It works, but just wanted to make it so it would work from a single foot switch.

aha!
