Stock Intel P4 HSF Specs?

hey hey,

does anyone know where i could find the specifications for the stock HSF that intel supplies with its retail pentium 4's? i was just curious about things like db and airflow numbers and such.

Intel has several retail box heatsink.
Which one are you talking about?

hmm...... not too sure, lol. I guess just the most common one that ships with a P4, around 2.8ghz......?

i wish there was a page on intel.com that listed all their HSF specs.

Well their are a few types

I know mine is a solid aluminum block and their is a full base

I know the newer ones look to me like an xbox from the bottom

It has a copper center and many vents in the shape of an X

And i thouhg the 3.2's a while ago had my block witih a copper center

looks kinda like a heatsink off my dell p4, though I was looking at this one, wondering if it might be better

looks pretty much the same to me.... i doubt their will be any large performance gain from using that over the stock intel p4 hsf. Just take the fan off and use a diffrent one
