stock intel heatsink and thermal paste

If I'm not overclocking, would it be fine to use the heat sink and thermal paste that came with my Intel CPU?

I have an OCZ thermal paste tube, but it's almost 4 years old now, so I'm not sure if it's still ok to use?

You'll be fine with the stock stuff. It's sufficient enough.

Just mush it up inside the tube to mix it, before opening the tube.
