Stock ATI 9800XT temps : ouch

it runs 69c on load ..... and yes its the right temp.....

my a64 3000+ cpu is 42c idle... 47c load
system temps 38c idle 43c load

will my videocard burn in few months..... btw it has been running these temps for the past 2 months without a problem...
 
well, video cards do run MUCH hotter than CPUs do...i think the "warning level" for the 6800s (used as a comparison) is like 120*C, and i've heard of ppl being happy with like 70-80*C under load...that temp shouldn't kill your card, but i would google it to make sure its a safe temp, especially if you plan to OC
 
Im not planning to overclock because this is my Girlfriend's computer and i dont want her to suffer from the stuff i would like to do to her computer hehe.

Thank anyway, its helping me psychologicly
