Hey guys I'm wondering what temps I should be getting with this at stock speed (2.2ghz Manchester core). It is basically just an alluminum Hs with a 70mm fan.No heatpipes.Speedfan reports up to 54C when both cores are under ful load for a while. Is this normal, safe? Btw My room and case are very cool.

thats a little warmer than most enthusiasts would like to see their cpus, but its certainly nothing to worry about, especially at stock. Depends more on your case cooling too, which you didn't mention.

if its stable, then no worries.

That's just within the limits of fine. Anything over about 55 degrees and I'd start to get worried. The threshold is closer to 65 degrees, so you're not doing any damage to your parts.

Um, I'd slap a better HSF, or at least use some Arctic Silver (if you havn't already) on the bottom of that.

The AMD Heatpipe coolers can be had for about 10-15 dollars which will drop your temperatures by a good 5-10 degrees!

Just curious but when you say your room/case are 'very' cool, how cool are you talking about? If it's like 18c/64f, then your really pushing it and when winter comes, and that heater kicks in, you could be in trouble.

If your concerned enough to create this post, then I would suggest just getting a semi-decent (since he is just running stock speeds) aftermarket cooler ($20) and some AS5 ($5) and sleep better at night! ;) Peace of mind can come cheap for you.

Yeah my room is under 70F and the case is well ventilated.I can't beleive they would give me the same cooler that my single core Venice came with.I'll be replacing this cooler as soon as I get the chance.
Thanks guys.
