So I started the laptop folding again on last Wed/Thur and have completed quite a few units since then. However hardfolding.com is showing Inactive for Shambler (not Laptop, or Main, those are mega old)

Weak :(
 
In the sig, never learned how to post it... I tried a few times, and it never seemed to work :(

You can't post your badge in your sig. It does not work. It will never work.

But I can explain how.

p.s. what does Stanford's site say about your folding?

and what does your machines say? ie., what name is in the config on your boxen? sometimes machines go crazy and lose your folding name and they default to nothing.

Well crap, I will have to check that. Stanford is throwing the "Please try again in 45 mins" page. I will double check my config when I get home tonight. Even if the points aren't currently going towards my score, I just want the info returned properly to Stanford. Know what I mean.
 
Hey brother, I don't know if this helps or not, but when I came off of the "Chimp Challenge" deal it seemed to take a while to show up active under my folding name. I even checked to see if I hadn't made a mistake in reactivating my original folding account (ie misspelled name, etc) :confused:

posting your badge, or another person's badge, is easy once you know how.

you can cut and paste the VB codes from the hard folding site

or

put the info into a "link" in internet explorer (or what ever browser you use) and then just click on the link when you are done with the post.

that will take you directly to your page on hard folding. the instructions are there on how to make it a link.
 
Heh yeah, I just copied the link from my sig and it is workin.
And I think this is the first time i have folded on the laptop since the Chimp Challenge, so you may be onto something there.

Lets all hope that my work units have made it back to Stanford. Would hate to see a WU go missing and have to be resent.

I checked the stats and you have no update since june. This often mean that you might have misconfigured and folding under another name or the client is having issues sending back workunits. Can you paste the full log (from fahlog.txt), especially the first 50 lines ?

 
This can be really easy. What Internet browser do you use? If you are using Firefox (and maybe IE, i wouldnt know) it is as easy as drag and drop.
 
First look in the top of your FAHlog.txt file.
The second timed line will show your user name & team.

Mine looks like ..........

Been super lazy this week: Will check and post tonight the contents. However when starting up my console clients it shows Username=shamblerteam33
With little to no spaces between the Username declaration and the team declaration.
Maybe I will just scrap and reinstall and reconfig, might be the easiest :)
 
Normally, when you enter the username, write "shambler" and don't add more. For the team, enter 33 and no more.

I looked in the stats and you had Shambler, ShamblerLaptop and ShamblerMain (the latter 2 is not the proper name to give unless you want separate stats for each box).

 
Yeah, the Shamblerlaptop and Main were for a different forum... then I got sucked in over here and started a new :)

And every time I reply to this thread, I almost throw up. That vertigo inducing yellow text...

So, I think I will start over and get some units folding for the [H]orde ASAP!
