Original post.
I got something from facebook yesterday.
I clicked on a video and no I get random internet anti-virus messages.
Every 3-4 minutes a anti virus web site will pop-up even if I’m not on line.

What’s the best way to take care of this?
I have run Spybot and I have Norton’s a corp. version.

I’m looking to load web root, Superantispyware or Avast 5.
These are the ones checked out on the web. Not one of the pop-ups.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been able to load CClaener ,Malwarebytes and Superanitspyware.
They have cleaned a lot of stuff off. Malware I got from a different computer. Can I load MSE from a different computer?
I loaded Firefox so I wouldn’t have to use IE. I’m having the same problem. After I do a search and click on the link I get sent to a different site.
I also uninstalled IE 8 hoping that would work. But no go. I get a windows sercuirty warning that my computer and windows security is infected. And it wants to load from some other web site.

What can I do now. I don’t want to start over if I don’t have too.

seriously chick, thats not really how these forum work these days. Everyone MUST be spoon fed answers.

ACCxcon, it looks like you did a bit of cleaning before you posted which is good, but I dont see that you ran hijackthis.. get on that. If all else fails, system restore is your friend.

Thanks to all that helped.
I did everthing that you said but my web browser was still not working correctly.
My restore was not working either.
SO I started over.
Now I'm ready to go.

Want the best method to PREVENT this from happening?

Download/install Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials. Run it DAILY.
