A while back I created a thread stating a very strange thing...I tried for months to get it to work but I'm back here because I'm at a loss as what to do.

Whenever I search "virus scan" or anythign with the word virus, on Google in IE or FireFox, right after I click search it closes the window in a flash. It does this not only on Google, but any page with a search engine. Searching House Call (the virus prog. I'd like to use) doesn't work either, it'll search but when I click the link it doesn't load the page.

I've recently run Ad-Aware and spybot, and nothing works.

If anyone could please help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I've worked on a computer that did this before. I was never able to remove all the spyware/virus' from it. No matter what I tried. Ended up re-imaging.

can you go to a friends house download AVG, burn it to a disk and than install it?

Thank you.

It worked form that link.

I'm going to scan right now, I'll post the results in a minute.

That worked great.

It found 4 infected files on my PC. Looks like it's time for me to get some more virus protection. That can't be happening like that.

Anyways, thanks so much guys.
