...well my new parts will be here tomorrow and I still need to order the video card....

you guys still recommend a 7800GT over anything else?

The 7800GT is probably a good way to go. Although ATI's new X1000 series cards are good... they are roughly equal in performance to the 7800GT which is a far cry from the supposed ass kicking these cards were supposed to hand to Nvidia. It hurts to say this cause I've always been an ATI fan! I personally am gonna wait and see final results on the cards and make a conclusion, but judging from how things are I would say the 7800GT is probably the safest bet.

Nothing beats 7800GT in its pricerange, period :)

ATI has out the X1800XL, but the 7800GT has a slight edge over it and the X1800XL costs as much as a 7800GTX which is much faster. So if you would spend the money for an X1800XL, you might as well get the much more capable 7800GTX.

alrighty guys, thanks!
I'm going to order an eVGA 7800GT CO Edition then :)

Thanks...

...yup, I guess it is....

:) and with the new Copper heatsink the 7800GT that eVGA has released, it should overclock very well. It comes at 470/1100 stock !
